James I would like to help you I have a ntsc machine and a trojan light pen here. If you send me the d64 image, I could test the software. Provided that I find some time on sunday I will do the test, but I can not promise it.

Umm  I did come across a site that showed how to make the pens..Could be an idea to find out what components are used. If cheap make a new one and see what results you get?

SVS - I only added the NTSC bit to the two values that were being stored to $FF07. One value is stored for the menu screen, the other for the drawing screen.
Mosh - I could steal one of the childrens' fat markers for a housing, but I'm afraid that they would notice. If I use a 'standard' pen housing, the light is too wide to fit close to the end (where the ball of the pen comes out to write).
I'll wait a couple of days to see if anyone else has any experience with this before I do any cutting or modifying.

I should have mentioned, the software is the Plus/4 version of the software that comes with the lightpen. I did have to modify it for NTSC by changing a couple of bytes.

Does anyone have one of these?
I received mine last week and finally got to play with it today. My problem is that no matter what the brightness and contrast of the monitor are, the lightpen does not work well on the drawing screen. On the menu screen it works fine.
If I remove the light from its pen, it is too sensitive and picks up rasters that I don't want. So I know the electronics part works.....
When putting the light back into its pen, I noticed that the light itself is about 4mm from the end of the pen. I cannot get it to go any closer to the end of the plastic housing. Should I cut the end of the pen so that the light can more easily see the raster beam?
