C64 power packs and Plus/4 power packs differ only by the plug. You could substitute the powerpack-to-computer cable from the Plus/4's power pack, or you could use one of the estimated 20 million C64s to remove the power connector from the motherboard, and put it in the Plus/4.
The connector's pinouts on the motherboard are the same, only the plug differs.

They look similar, but are they the same? Could a C64 power pack be used on a plus4? Also, would it not be possible to just use a general purpose transformer that can give the same voltage? Because they are pretty unwieldy beasts.
