Ummm

To be honest I know very little about PC's because I still use my Amiga for most things. So only lamo ideas I can offer

Have you just updated Windows? If so you might find shutting down from windows to DOS my leave you no memeory to run Starcommander? (I have this problem with my PC).

You could try making a Windows boot disk to enter DOS and then run Starcommamder? (This is the only way I can get MTAP to work on my PC).

The SC starts and runs

as well. Problem is when I try to read on 1541. It seems to be awaiting for endless (I have to reset my PC to unlock this situation).
Note: when I turn on my PC, led on 1541 goes on for about 15/20 secs, then goes off. I think this means the connection cable and port setting are OK.
Anyway thank you Lando for your suggestions.

Anybody other has ideas?

I need help on my X1541 connection

because, since 2 weeks it doesn't work

and I don't know why

I think I checked everything... grrr...
What else can be?

CABLE: OK
1541: OK
PORT SETTING: SPP
COKE & HAMBURGER

: OK
MOTHERBOARD: ???
