PROGRAM INFORMATION

To load the program
type: load"teleterm boot",8
and press

Now type: run
and press

Make sure your modem works with the
Plus/4. Not all Hayes compatibles work
properly. The Avatex 1200hc works
nicely. The carrier detect signal
should be forced on for most modems.

In terminal mode, you can exit to the
main menu by pressing HELP. In 80
columns, you can eliminate the
flickering that occurs on some Plus/4s
by toggling off the status line. To do
this, press F1.

The modem initiation is the usual Hayes
AT command, except that the two letters,
AT, are left out. Use this to change
default options not in the menu (for
example, modem speaker, auto-answer,
etc...) See your modem's users manual
for more information.

To start a file transfer, remember to
press the SPACEBAR after entering the
filename and choosing the correct
settings.

To redial, press SPACEBAR, or the
terminal will do that automatically if
you have both the correct modem settings
and a compatible modem. In the dialing
menu, press RETURN to enter 40 column
terminal mode. ESCape aborts.

That is all the essential information.
I have not done extensive testing, so
please report any bugs either on the CBM
echo or by mail. Please support the
shareware concept. I would like to
write more Plus/4 software, but $$$
is a big problem for college students.
Look for updates (depending on
contributions) on some San Francisco
bbses. User validation may be required.
