Description | The Hungarian version (called KARATE) casts doubt to the origins of this game. The German magazine type-in version (from Compute Mit) has several typos (bugs) in the print, which appear in our version:
LINE 140 should have PEEK(V+18) instead of PEEK(V+G8). LINE 750 is missing a colon (:) between B=B-5POKE B,C. LINE 760 should have POKE B, C instead of POKE NB, C.
The Hungarian version is correct in all 3 cases.
Secondly, the Hungarian version appears to be built for player 1 = joy, player 2 = keyboard only. This means several extra lines of code, which are missing from the German version (both players joy only).
Finally, the bold characters. The German version contains only the 7 letters "CSOLUFT"; which are enough to spell out COLOSSUS SOFT. The Hungarian version contains 8 letters: "MSOGAFTE"; but these are never used! They could spell out "MEGASOFT" for example. |
