Description
This original and exciting game puts you in a helicopter high over New York,
looking down on the city’s streets. At the moment they are deserted, but soon
traffic will appear, and it’s up to you to keep it moving. You do this by
controlling the city’s traffic lights. When a car (represented by a square)
reaches a red light it will stop. Each traffic light bears a symbol — pressing the
key bearing that symbol changes the light to green and the car will continue on
its journey.

At the beginning of the game you have 100 points. You gain 10 points
every time a car goes through a crossroads, and 25 points for every car that gets
right across the city. However if two cars collide at a crossroads you lose 100
points and the road is temporarily blocked. If you run out of points the game
ends — if not it lasts about five minutes. The more points you get, the better
traffic cop you are!

(Program's introduction as reported in "Crazy games for your Commodore 64" book).

Fixed Version
During the porting of the original C64 version to the Commodore 16, the game was ruined due to several errors introduced by Franco Sarcina. The most problematic one is the following:
the traffic map was drawn using the $43 character (Shift + C) instead of the correct $40 character (Shift + *). These are visually identical in the usual PETSCII on both the machines; this oversight produced the two worst problems of the converted game: the inability for cars to travel routes other than the vertical side sections (AO2 / -YK and BR5 / =1N), and the tendency of cars to get stuck near empty intersections even with green light.

Other flaws are:

- the traffic map was slightly changed and made asymmetrical, probably by mistake, which caused the realignment of the game scheme, changing the values of the DATA lines in the listing;

- initially, a $32 red is used for the traffic lights, replaced by a $02 red after the very first switching of any single one;

- the C16 version improves the visibility of the single cars by adding a line in the BASIC listing, in order to assign a black colour to any car moving on the screen, but this solution doesn't cover the colour resetting of a crossroad after a crash has occurred.
