| Mentioned In CoV | In CoV 9, page 33, a reader writes the following (in regards to the perpetual Plus/4 vs C=64 war):
"... A CoV 7-ben azt írták a PLUS4-esről, hogy köcsögduda!? Hallott már a DIGITAL BOX 1-ről??? Tudja ez egy fogalom, amit nem lehet összehasonlítani a 64-es "zenéjével"."
Translation: "... In CoV 7 you described the Plus/4 as a jug horn*!? Have you ever heard of DIGITAL BOX 1??? You know, that's a concept which cannot be compared to the 64's "music"." *notes: "köcsögduda" (lit. jug horn) is a Hungarian membranophone folk instrument - the point being that the Plus/4 sounds bad. Additionally, the reader who wrote this is apparently confused; they are comparing digital sound playback to the SID. In fact, as far as digital playback is concerned, the Plus/4 and the C64 are comparable. |
