I am also interested in expanding a C16 and Plus/4 to 256K, I found the method described by Solder a little too difficult. I have however,
successfully removed the 64k chips from the Plus/4 and replaced them with
256K chips, the Plus/4 works fine but still reads 60K.

Subject: 256 KB expansion

Hi everyone,

I just added 256 K RAM support to Yape and am curious as to where to find some software for it to test... I have Solder's two 256k disks but for various reasons they are not very good test tools at the moment (they use peripherals that I don't emulate correctly - or at all). I did tests with SVS's MegaAssembler and it worked (it seemed...) but I'd like to see some more :-)

Another question: can I expand a real C16 to 256 kB directly? I feel this would need a whole new approach, so the schemes used at plus/4 can't be applicable here.

Thanx in advance,
Attila
