Okay.. Tapes...

This is explained in the Docs (badly :-), but if you sample at
44100Khz, 8bit mono and call the RAW file (no WAV or VOC headers) .TAP you can select it with the normal file loader (F10)

Once you have done that F8 is the virtual PLAY button...

so one you type "LOAD" and press return, and it says press play..blah,blah.. press F8

Tapes are VERY hard to get going! Took me AGES to find the settings that allow me to load it in. Even then.. theres 5 other settings (like a virtual screw on the tape head - for the head) that sometimes helps..

I've put a sample tape on my home page you an try out.. It shows it DOES work. Also listen to it and any sample you make and try to spot echos and dips in volume.. all these mess things up..

Once loaded, you can either SNAP-SHOT it.. or break on exit from the load routine, and save the memory from the monitor so you can crunch it or make it a .PRG (withever).

Aside from that... it IS hard but DOES work...
