Internal or external units? What's the model number (if external)?
According to Cameron's Secret Weapons of Commodore are 700s with 7.5
MB hard disks, but this is unconfirmed.

They are Commodore B series machines. They were launched in 1982 and were meant to be an upgrade from PET 4000/8000 machines. Basic 4.0 I think, but you should know for sure when you turn it on :) Visit the Secret Weapons of Commodore:

Writing a B-series mode for the VICE shouldn't be too much work as the hardware is very close to the PETs.
