Yes, and preferrably in such a way that it still uses the VICE framework.
I know that the VICE source code is a mess, but I also think that cooperation is better than copy-paste programming. I haven't tried to contribute to the VICE project since my partial cleanup of the user interface code was rejected in 1997, as I simply haven't had time.
