Subject: Announcement: New mailing list about Commodore Media Common Commands
Hello there!

Sorry for the cross-post, but this mail might be interesting to some people on both lists.

There's a new mailing list at c64.rulez.org which is supposed to be about setting up standards and a common API for the various IDE/SCSI storage
(and possibly other) devices. As far as I understand, the current
'standards' are as diverse as possible, i.e. the application writer has to implement support for all storage devices he wants to support (e.g. IDE64,
CMD manufactured SCSI discs, etc.) himself.

The goal is to define a common command set through a well documented API,
which should enable programmers to reach the largest possible user base with their applications, as it would run on all "commonly" available devices.

If you're interested in the project and/or related discussions, feel free to join the list, by sending an email to 'majordomo@c64.rulez.org', with the text 'subscribe cm-cocos' in the body of the message.

This is an international mailing list, and the expected language is English.

Please direct inquires and replies to the new mailing list, there are people there who may be able to describe the project better than I did. :)

Yours,
Edhellon/Resource
