Howard W. Sams & Co, also SAMS Publishing (short: SAMS) was founded by Howard W. Sams in 1946 for producing radio schematics and repair manuals.
In 1967 it was assumed by ITT Corporation and in 1985 sold to Macmillian, Inc. In the 1980's SAMS published a lot of computer books for homecomputers like C64. In the 1990's Simon & Schuster bought Macmillian and sold SAMS with his education division to the publisher Pearson PLC. |
