| | The Ending | 
Once the launch gate is powered up, an animated end sequence plays. Shields are retracted, the impulse engine shuts down (all added to final scoring), and the ship reaches warp speed.
The end! Enjoy the beautiful end screen and listen to calming, hopeful music. There are many ways to end the game, and the text will evaluate how well you did.
Spoilers below!
Four conditions are checked; in order:
- Collected all warp fuel
- Fully explored the map
- Saved the last living embryo
- Played on hard difficulty
If all four conditions are met, the game rewards the player with some additional accolades. |

| | Shortcut | | Choose "Ghost Mode" difficulty in the beginning. This gives you invulnerability and unlimited time. In addition, on the first screen of the cave and the city, press SHIFT+Z to level skip. In the Lab, go to the launch gate and press SHIFT+Z to watch the end sequence. |
