This file documents BASIC 10.0 for the Commodore 65 (C64DS), as well as some machine language routines. C65 DOS information is about 7/8 of the way down the document.
Presuming that Berkeley Softworks used the free space on the 1541 similarly to the way they did on the 1581, this info should be sufficient to detect filetypes, GEOS date/time stamps, etc.
