On a certain disk that I have...

...a program begins at Track 4, Sector 0, and goes all the way down to Track 1, Sector 17, before jumping to Track 33, Sector 14.

The program that begins at Track 4, Sector 0, skips the following tracks, which already have part of programs on them:

4,1
4,7
4,13
4,19

Part of the program at 4,1 and 4,7 then jumps to Track 19, Sector 6. Does this mean that the program which continued from 4,1 to 4,7 already existed on disk prior to the program which began at Track 4, Sector 0?

And that in the case of Track 4, Sector 7 suddenly "jumping" to Track 19, Sector 6, that programs already occupied Tracks 19,0 through Tracks
19,5?

Another thing that I've noticed (at least on my breadbox 64 unit) is that the Epyx Fastload cartridge, when sometimes performing a "$" (directory) will suddenly clear the screen and print gibberish.

Is that normal?

Yes, no, and a conditional yes.

Was the Fastload cartridge released for the Plus/4 or 128?

I seem to recall a non-C64 version of the same cartridge, circa 1985.

There was such a thing as FastLoad 128. Epyx did not release a Plus/4 version.

And while I have your attention, could I please point out that this is a Plus/4 forum, not a 64 forum, and it would be nice if you could post your messages in their appropriate places.
