|  1571 disk drive - Will it work?
Ok, I finally am receiving my Commodore Plus/4, and I was wondering: will my 1571 disk drive work with it? I know the +4 takes all the C64 peripherals, but asking just won't hurt

I think I might have to go hunt one of those? Must be pretty rare though.
First I'll be buying the SID card for it. I want to utilize the machine for music as much as I can.

| Yes, but 1551 is faster
Hi Akira,
your 1571 will work with the Plus4, but only at the normal 1541 speed,
as the Plus4 does not understand the C128/1571 burst protocol.
The 1551 - which is designed for Plus4 - has a parallel
connector and works much faster.
Maybe a Plus4 ROM extension (OS96) understands the 1571 burst, I don't know.
