| Fun or suicidal hardware experiment?
Hello,
I had fun with this solderingthing. What the heck is it? Well:
Two switches, two 27c512 eproms. one eprom with the low parts of 3-plus-1, scriptplus, calcplus and logo, one eprom with the high parts.
Two switches: one on a14/ gnd, one on a15/gnd and that parallel on both eproms. So with the two switches I can select 4 pieces of the eprommemory in the the two eproms at the same time.
Off course I want to swap these two eproms with the 3-plus1 high/low in my plus/4
@SukkoPera is this survivable or suicidal?

I think it's probably OK. I take no responsibility though!
I am not a fan of these hacks though, given how easy it is to make a clean PCB and how cheap it is to get it produced these days . That's why I designed that adapter I told you about in the first place! 1 |

@SukkoPera Thanks for you advice. I took the risk and like you already said: it works like a charm.
I understand your warning, all those wires and loose contacts are potentially dangerous.
Gladly ordered your OpenRomSwitcher at PCBway, for future mods. |
