IMHO it would be good to have a special page dedicated to KERNAL patches on this site. One day this may help to build a perfect KERNAL.  I remember another patch that allows us to use 19,200 bauds on RS-232C. Maybe there are other patches somewhere...
BTW Atari enthusiasts rewrote their ROM and get Basic 110-130% faster with 100% compatibility with the old ROM!
