Dear Community,
I tried to Run some 1541 only PRG's (Bards Tale III, Battle chess) on my plus4 , by using a 1541 II, but no one of the PRG's would Run. By using C= Run Stop also by using Load"*",8,1! The second comand let the automatical Load Start after "Run" but the Floppy stopped by showing a undifined screen (Same by using C= Run Stop) !? Same with each PRG.... whats wrong???

From your description of this problem I think it would be very difficult to diagnose the issue. Though there's one thing I'd mention; you keep saying "PRG", but in this case we should be talking about "D64" files. In other words, when you downloaded the D64 files (disk images) from our site, you copied that entire image to a new disk, right? These programs will not run if you only copy a single PRG file.

These are old Disks, but all the Others Disks are going right! I Wish i Had a sd2iec to download and Play , but Nobody heller me by ordering

All Others Disks worked well with the 1541 and I Tested the Bards Tale and the Battle chess Disks with my 1551, structure ist ok! Should a Take a Short Video from what happens?!

By the way: 1551 ist shut down (Power Off) , so there is no error with the device Numbers!

Actually if you would load C64 discs you would see a "garbage" screen. Since load point there is $0801 instead of $1001 which overwrites the screen memory on plus/4. It's just a wild guess, but maybe you are loading C64 games? Dunno if that helps..

The Disks are real c 16/plus 4 Disks! ID Like to have the 1551 Version, but this did not clear the Problem....

Even when the 1551 is off, its *paddle* has circuitry that may interfere with the 1541-II.
To diagnose: remove the 1551's paddle from the Plus/4's cartridge port.

Just a stupid question: are you sure that your 1541-II is working properly? Does DIRECTORY (F3) works properly? Could you make a video (using a phone or something), preferably with drive sounds?

The 1541 works at its best with every Other Disk! Only the only 1541 Disks did Not Work (PIGMY covered Games vor the 264er series) Like Battle chess 1541 or Bards Tale 3!!!

You did check the directory entries to be the same as in the database here? Is on the bardstales disc 1 some entry with "1541_1551" in its filename?

Some News for the same problem:
cbm warrior sent me some PRG's to test them! Great thanks also on this way!
Now we found out, that not the PRG's do the Trouble:
My 1541 II ist the Problem!!! Does anyone know, which PRG's for 1541 use did Not Work with a 1541 II (Like Tetris 2/Battle chess)....
Next step: buying a 1541c , recoloring the Case in 264er Style, and TEST MY 1541 PRG's with a 1541c!
