I just read, very cool Yape can rotate the screen for the new Phonenix! May we see more games like this! 
4:3 LCD screens from the early 2000's which people almost give away these days can be handy as a means to have a screen to rotate, (if using the real hardware). Saves damaging your heavy and much loved CRT's.

As awesome as this image is to see..., it almost killed me trying to set this up so have a picture before I stop breathing.
