Porting Tapecart 64 hexfile to Tapecart 264 hexfile: correspondence with developer

I asked the developper of the Tapecart 64, Ingo Korb, to rewrite the Arduino Hexfile for our 264 serie.

He gave a lot of advices, but leaves this task to another. We have a lot of smart hw profs/coders in our midst. Is there some enthousiasm for this work? Ingo Korb wrote the following:

Technically yes, but I'll leave that to someone else.

You'd have to change the tape encoder to match the C16/+4's modified
protocol (different timing for the three pulse types, at least one pulse
somewhere changed its type) and change the address and target of the
autostart vector to match the C16/+4 memory layout.

After that, you need to rewrite the initial loader to work on a C16/+4
and you may have to make further changes to the microcontroller code to
account for changes in timing due to the different system clock.

After that is working you just need to port the flashtool to run on a
C16/+4 and use the modified timings and you probably want to port/write
an application (e.g. a menu-based file loader) so you can use the
tapecart for more than just a single one-filer.

Nobody likes the Tapecart 64 or is it too much work?

How much work would that be to you? You are welcome any time to contribute some hardware mods or the like.

My skills are insufficient, unfortunately.

I was hoping somebody might take this on. I have a Tapecart SD for the 64, it is a great little device sad
