 Commodore Plus 4 Keyboard

Hi,
I managed to recover a Commodore Plus 4, I tried it and it seems perfectly functional, but it was really dirty and I cleaned it. During the cleaning phases I removed every single key from the keyboard and cleaned it. Then reassembling everything, I realized that 13 of the 67 keys had the internal plastic interlock (from key internal side) broken and I can no longer reassemble it. I would like to know if there is a way to recover broken keys or repair them.

Thank you
G.

Can you post a pic showing what way they are broken as they are usually quite robust?

Spare keyboards for +4's come up on ebay occasionally, or buy a known broken one and salvage the plungers.

When you reply, there is a link to the "new site Uploader", but that may be only useable if you're registered.

Assuming your username is also your email, I'll PM you.

Yes, I saw the email and uploaded the picture for you.

I think any attempt to repair would not be satisfactory. I have a couple of trashed keyboards which are missing various keys. Can you list which ones are broken and I can see if I have spare caps. Some may be a bit yellowed but it would at least get you a fully working keyboard.

Hello,
I never heard from you again. You asked me to provide you with my shipping address via email and I did it, but you never let me know anything ..

actually I would be very surprised, if the glueing would be impossible. a two component epoxy with external support could do the job.
BTW there was an interesting project to make for C64 lego based keys, as some of the elements perfectly fit
