Hey Dough! Just download the .kps archives from here:
slipstream_kps.zip
majesty_of_sprites_kps.zip
the_lands_of_zador_kps.zip
pets_rescue_music.zip
...and look at the songs in the Knaecketraecker. This should be the fastest way to understand how Knaecketraecker works. At the beginning, the Knaecketraecker looks a bit complicated, but actually it doesn't need witchcraft to compose a song. 
And if you specifically say what songs you need (music style) and how many, then you will surely find musicians who will help you.
