Yes the SD2IEC has some fast loader detection code. After a brief read it looks like it checks for 1541 drive uploaded code so certainly possible to add support for Bitfire I think.
Perhaps I should add some encouragement that way. Having said that, is there a link for full source code? I downloaded the bitfire_plus4_20170712 archive but where are the main ASM routines? I can see include files and some support ASM but can't locate main ASM code .
