There are some info to know on RS232 of the Plus4.
1) You have to OPEN it by the format:
OPEN #LogicFile,2,0,R1,R2
#LogicFile = Logical file number (2…14)
R1 = Control Register
R2 = Command Register
2) XON / XOFF settings: write a non-zero value on $FC / $FD
