 Hidden feature of 6510.

I heard about an unknown feature of the uP 6510 (maybe 7501 too?)
By setting a proper pattern in the input data pins, you could obtain the read
of IC internal temperature (on output pins).
I don't know anymore.
Is there something true? happy

 cbm-hackers

This was discussed a while back on cbm-hackers. It has to do with the built in I/O port at $0000/01, and I think it only works on the HMOS (85xx) chips. You can't really tell the temperature, but the characteristics will change depending on temperature. You'd have to calibrate the software for your particular CPU for it to work.

 85xx could include... 8501? :)

and furthermore, what are the exact data to be read/write to?
Thx
