 Commodore Plus/4 Made in GDR?

I saw this on eBay:

A +4 made in GDR? I think this is a fake or?

Nein, in der DDR wurden keine Plus/4 hergestellt - es gab doch nur den Z80-Prozessor.
Der angebotene Rechner stammt aus dem Inventar eines ehemaligen VEB. Ein weiterer Beweis dafür, daß der Plus/4 als Bürorechner durchaus anerkannt wurde.

No, there haven't been Plus/4 machines made in GDR. In GDR, only the Z80 CPU was available.
The Plus/4 shown was property of a GDR company which demonstrates that the model was quite accepted as an office machine.

A shame it does not show the whole of the serial number sticker as that normally states where it was made...

It's very likely that the Plus/4 from that Eastern German source has been manufactured in Braunschweig (Brunswick), Western Germany, like that one you provided the link for.

After the Plus/4 started to be sold by ALDI at a bargain price of DM 229 including a 1531 (in Juky of 1986 that equalled to approx. £ 74), quite a lot of them went into Eastern Germany as christmas gifts. All of those Plussis were made in Braunschweig where the German Commodore plant was located.
