I can imagine a quick scroll up/down/left/right when the girl reaches the screen border (quick scroll, no sprite movement, etc, simple blit + draw new tiles). Implementing AGSP with this complex gameplay should bring a complete engine rewrite (if possible anyway).
May I suggest that the same graphician should draw all worlds tilesets? Every gfxman has his/her own style, the design will fall apart with the different world graphics styles.
