Works fine on a 1541. On a 1551, the disk drive light comes on about half a second late, but still goes off in time with the border.
It would be a good idea to remind the user to have a formatted disk in the drive.  Otherwise the drive flashes an error (74, Drive Not Ready) that is not synchronized to the border change.
Also, since the entire screen is not blanked (at least on a Plus/4 or in your video on YouTube), you may want to change "screen" to "border" in line 60.
