The problem is that I had these tools (GfxEdit, Plus4IDE, DisAss, etc.) written in Delphi, but Delphi is now pretty outdated I guess. I had it installed on my old computer (which was still working and plugged in, running XP), but that machine died last month. So now I can't update those tools any more unfortunately... The right thing to do would be to rewrite them in Visual C#, which I'm still learning, and I know some other folks can develop in it too. But that's a very big project, and I just don't have the time for it at the moment.
Otherwise, specifically for GfxEdit, you're right that Undo is sorely missing. The interface is made to be like the old logo editors (e.g. Logo-Maker) on Plus/4 (which was my background), that's why it's mostly keyboard focused. |
