For example Adventures in mono has SID music (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MwwK-tlSC4), while the recent Rocket Science (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnDX0reRdeM) uses strictly the original TED sound of the plus/4. Of course the programs must support SID card to use it, it's not automatic. The TED has only two channels, and no waveforms (well, only square wave or noise), only a single volume control.
