if we talk about speed, it seems 1551 is our best option or 1541/1571 with jiffydos. If we look for newer devices, sd2iec with jiffy look rather promising. From stranger devices the big 3.5" CMD FD-2000 with 1.6MB also works with Plussy (it should be fast as supports Jiffy). Finally the SFD-1001 (1MB capacity 5.25") should work too, as with a special cable can connect to slow IEC.
As option B I found an IEEE488 to IEC adapter that should work, called INTERPOD from Oxford Computer System. But it will be as slow as 1541, though 1MB capacity. So even bulky 8250 may run, theoretically the D9060 Hdd too (although just 5MB, so Sd2iec is better)!
