try formatting those problematic SD cards with this tool:
http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/sd/download/index.html
I can't promise anything but it might help since some SD cards come formatted in a way that violates the standard.

nice project. Sure, there are lots of different SD2IEC gadgets out there but it's nice to know that someone really shows an interest in supporting our machines
