 Eprom type

Hi,

Can someone tell me which eprom types can I use for replacing the 3+1 software or for external modules at the expansion port?

Thank you in advance,
Hans.

The original type was 27128 for a 16K x 8 Eprom

 Re: Eprom type

If you have the option, use CMOS equivalents eg. 27C128 instead of 27128's as they draw significantly less current and generate virtually no heat.

 Re: Eprom type

Thank you, Mike and crock.

I'll take CMOS eproms anyway (27C128). It's not very likely that the old 27128 type is still available in the market, maybe excepted used and UV wiped single chips.

Heat is always an issue. Since I'll be going to replace the internal 3+1 chips against Script/Plus, any celsius grade less under the clad is a success...

Regards,
Hans.

 Re: Eprom type

You could even use 27256 (that are easier to find) and unconnect the MSB pin.
(If I'm not wrong... many years are passed
