I haven't seen the 6525 chip yet. Got a 1570 from Bo this past weekend but he sent a 110V cord with it, I'll have to use the 1551 cord with my power converter to see if the 1570 works.

On YOUR 1551 do you have to do anything for the 50Hz - 60Hz change, or does it work fine on 60Hz?

 50/60 hz

Had no problem. Remember that those bigger 50hz xformer core were happy and ran cool on 60hz. The 60hz cores will run hot on 50hz.
The 1551 that I use is in a US 1541 case and 60hz supply... never had a glitch. If you don't get that chip soon, I'll see what I can do about finding another. Have lots of C64/C128/Plus4 chips and lots for the 1541/1541II/1571/1581 drives... virtually zilch for the 1551. Now I wished I hadn't sent that spare 1551 to Dave Cook, in California, those years ago.

 I searched the archives here

and on 7/22 you were going to send the 6525 the next day. It's been 7 weeks. Should one of us file a lost-package-search request with the postal service?
