 Pls help to buy hardware

Could anybody help to find a way to buy C+4 or C16 or C116? With power supply and ready to work. Maybe does someone have spare iron? Or maybe does someone know someone with spare iron? Pls do not give me links to e-shops.
I have a plan for a new demo. It may exceed ability of the emulators... BTW I have a spare datasette C-1531. I am ready to send it to anybody. Pls contact me at vol.litwr AT gmail.com email.

Re: Pls help to buy hardware

Hello Vladimir,

I think I have two perfect one, and one with a little internally dusty keyboard, but working OK with harder keypresses. I am not happier if I have 3 instead of two. The only problem is the postage cost from Hungary. They treat any shipment to UK or Germany (not to mention Russia) like Taiwan or Antarktis, so the cost would be horrible. I think you may be better with a local, or maybe Polish source. Hungarian post will make your costs double and you will feel robbed...

Litwr: I couldn't find the exact cost on the site of the Hungarian Post Office but the cost would be somewhere between 9000 and 12000 HUF (about 1200 and 1600 RUB).

Re: Pls help to buy hardware

So pinguins are happy. happy They asked only for one favor but there are already several *lots*. They feel that the dream about super-demo may be realized one day. happy happy happy Pls use gmail for detailed message. I see that main problem is unreliable CBM power supply. Are there links to description about alternative (not native Commodore) power supplies?

Re: Pls help to buy hardware

Sorry, I found no gmail address... so here:

If you just need a working Plus/4 PSU, I can help you (PSU is free, but postage, well...)
It depends, if you have round or square connector.
In case you have a round one, you are lucky: I may provide you a C64 PSU, I have one extra from that. If you have a square connector, you can be more lucky: I have 3 extra, and the Plussies are dead... (BTW I should test them)
http://www.sleepingelephant.com/ipw-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=4357&sid=7c9ccf6dd71d431563df97776737204d

C16: I think it just needs one UNregulated DC input.
("The power supply needs to be a 9V DC, 1A, and ground must be on the inside.
The original PSUs have something about 15V DC without load
So, voltage does not have to be that exact, because it is regulated down to 5V inside the C16 anyway.")

Unfortunately C64 and Plus/4 PSU has 9VAC and 5VDC, so for C16 or C116 they cannot help you...

For the ZX Spectrum I had the same problem (bought as defective, as PSU was not working, with a certain risk I bough really cheap (neeeded a new keyboard membrane from UK and a generic PSU to get it work).
I use Universal/Multi-Voltage AC/DC Adapter with 1.2A max.load at 9V. It has adjustable voltage, polarity and 8 different connectors. I bought is at Norauto for 1200HUF.

something like this:

Postage cost link (sorry, no English, but you can decode based on weight):

Unfortunately no postage to Antartica, the closest thing in Falkland island:

Re: Pls help to buy hardware

My gmail address is in the first message of this topic. wink We may also use private message service of our plus4world. wink I need working C16/116/+4 with power supply. I had several *lots* without power supply. It is possible to *assemble* the required power supply but it will be better to get it with other tested iron in one *bag*. I was surprised that it is possible to use even 9-15V DC. Are you sure with this matter? I suspect that 9V AC is only required for the user port. So plus4 with power supply without this AC should work. Is it right? Is 1A DC for 5V enough?
