First, the publisher released CoV in text-only format. This completely eliminates the need for OCR. It was up on the web somewhere, I don't know if you have that, let me know if you need it. I've put up some text as-is, e.g. here:

Second, what you're describing overlaps a lot with our own Publications project. I've done pretty much exactly what you said, see here:

This project has the capability of storing the pages as images, or formatted text, or formatted + translated text (that would be the ultimate of those "few"  people that don't happen to speak Hungarian). Of course this (like the whole site) is progressing very slowly (as in about one page per decade  ), due to lack of time, lack of interest, maybe lack of communication/organization. |
