Rob: I did a quick-fix and update just the day after I originally uploaded the file (the second flip-flop was mistakently set by r/w' on the schematics). Another note: the file was in postscript format; I can also supply a png image or the original KiCad sch file if that makes life easier. Other than that, the circuit should work. I also couldn't reduce the component count any further, unless some programmable logic were to be involved (or some functionality sacrificed)... so yes, IMHO it's at a local optimum of some sort ATM
