Hey there! Interesting topic to be curious about 
They did, HiggyTerm is one such program. (On our platform these are referred to as "terminal" programs, perhaps you searched for BBS and didn't get any hits). This was before my time though, and I never owned a modem either, but MikeZ for example should know quite a bit about it. |
