|  Plus 4 - Misc. Charaters Appearing on Sceen
Got an interesting problem. I have a plus for that seems to function fine. Except on power on it displays 4 dollar signs in a diamond pattern on the screen. Has anyone have an experence with this? Is there any guides that can help me remedy the problem.

its most likely a ted bug, so you have a faulty ted chip.. try to remove the ram chips and reinsert it to eliminate if it is a bad contact..

I'd also guess that it's likely to be the TED. Maybe this thread has something that'll help you.

My first guess would be TED, too. But let's hope it's not the TED. It could be a faulty BASIC ROM or faulty RAMs as well. I remember a thread here about something similar and TLC helped to find out what's wrong by suggesting various procedures.

It's indeed a mysterious one (considering that the computer does some fault and still responds  ). ...It could be anything.
Does the machine show the same problem upon pressing the reset button?
