Why do they post phony poop? That's a good question indeed. From what I've heard, there could be a few reasons. Some spam bots measure the number of replies to their post. If they get lots of replies, they deem the forum "spam-worthy" and come back, probably under a different IP/username. Some of them do this because certain forum software has rules, so that new members cannot post links until their 10th post.
BTW, I'm as baffled as you guys are about the OP. There's a slight chance that it's a user's misfire, but that's unlikely. We should have just deleted it right off the bat. But if we didn't have this kind of off-topic stuff we'd have almost nothing to talk about
