http://www.sharemation.com/IstvanV/compress.7z is now updated. The new version supports three different compression methods that can be selected with the -m0, -m1, and -m2 options. The following table shows how the various modes perform on a set of 13 files:

All the above tests were done without blanking the display, so that the times can be compared directly, and with the exception of -m0 (which could be 25 bytes smaller without all the code that saves, sets, and restores $ff06 and $ff19), effects were disabled.
