Well, this is probably not really of much interest, but I have an improved version of the compress utility: http://www.sharemation.com/IstvanV/compress.zip
Regarding the converter: other than the above mentioned new high resolution algorithm, I could add support for "pixel exact" reading of images that use a C64 pallette (to allow for converting VICE screenshots directly); would that be useful ?
