Notice that this image is not resized to match the window size exactly in the non-preview mode, and color correction settings are ignored.
If you have problems creating xpm files that are recognized as having the Plus/4 palette, then probably the files are saved with an "optimized" palette that includes only the colors that are actually used, or have a transparent color; in any case, the pixel exact mode is only activated if every palette index in the image can be used directly as a Plus/4 color code.
This alternate image in PNG format is only resized to 640x400 with no interpolation so that image scaling artifacts are avoided: http://www.sharemation.com/IstvanV/flitest/f9_neptuned_640x400.png. It is still converted with color correction and dithering.
