Well, for now, I updated the converter to use the same modified palette: http://www.sharemation.com/IstvanV/p4fliconv.7z
This version also includes some optimizations in the FLI display code (p4flidisp.s), slightly better support for "pixel exact" conversion in high resolution modes when "optimize for PAL filtering" is disabled, and some other minor changes. Note that the monitor gamma parameter is now interpreted differently, and the default and recommended value is 2.2 (the previous default 1.33 would not look very good now).
