It seems I have found a solution to another problematic demo: "Exacting demo" apparently only loads with the 1541 ROM, and not the 1541-II, which I have been including with the ROM package until now. Perhaps I should make the former (more precisely, the combination of 1540-c000.325302-01.bin and 1541-e000.901229-05.bin from zimmers.net) the default ?
