Choose the driving controls by pressing the appropriate joy/key on the title screen:

Gameplay
Race though 16 stages across the United States to win! You must reach each checkpoint before the time runs out, otherwise the race (and the game) is over. Collisions with other cars break the car and cost time. The cops will actively try to push you off the road.
After every 4th stage, you can choose an upgrade. If you were too slow, your girlfriend, Norma, will leave your car. She will come back to your at the next checkpoint if you are fast enough.
Available upgrades:
 | Hipower Engine | Provides 20% faster acceleration |  | Higrip Tyre | Better traction, you can steer in curves even at full speed |  | Special Turbo | Turbo won't overheat as fast |
Turbo:
To activate turbo, first reach the max RPM where the pin hits the redline. Then press up+fire button. The turbo remains on while you keep your RPM in the red zone. Hitting the curb, another car or braking slows you down and the turbo session is over. Keep your eye on the overheat indicator, sometimes you need to cool down a bit. |
