Could you imagine if it were applied to old books too? We'd have no libraries left.
Even if it were true, it would just make Roger Hulley a total dick for wanting to remove old retro games from old obsolete systems to junk that he can no longer profit from just out of some silly little misguided principle. It doesn't harm profits of their new games on the new systems. It just doesn't make any business sense at all. Sofware Companies who carry out these legal practices should be grateful that their old retro games were saved at all. Besides, most of the Alternative titles are just re-releases from other software houses anyway.
Hopefully it's just a troll and that there's no truth in it.

Yeah doesn't make any scene at all. Most of the games came from Solar Software Ltd and most people back then would of said legal action could be taken for releasing shite in the first place compared to Mastertronic.
There is no market for such low quality titles as mobile phones come in colour now and are beyond games like SNAKE and the like.
The poster is also on a Suicide Run because NAMCO could take legal action on anyone trying to make money out of some of those Solar Software games today as they were for the best part stolen idea's from Namco's arcade machines.
Whats more, one of the creators/coders of a game that was released by ALERNATIVE was sent in to be ripped, tap'd and hacked for the sharing. While names will not be dropped it was a pleasure to do such a thing.
EDIT:
Just had a thought as you do... Would it not be better to take action against big time ebay for the reselling of the games. More money to be had there than a bunch of small timers with nothing more than fond memories. If it was Master System, Megadrive, Sega Saturn & Dreamcast games then totally understandable but for some of the worst games known to man ever made released to sting people yet again... Aving a Laugh!
Also aving a laugh not using the word "C16" in the original post as all games are clearly marked C16/PLUS 4 by ALERNATIVE. NOOB! :)
