Built-in Cheats
This game has two built-in cheats.

The first one was added by the Muffbusters group, who did the Plus/4 conversion. The cheat itself is mentioned in Byte Times 3 (in Hungarian) and Nukepaper 01 (in German).

The "description" of the cheat is: on the game's title screen, press the letters of the word MUFFBUSTERS.

The "title screen" is when the gray title is shown at the top. The game's intro shows 4 screens (a top list, names of programmers, the game's valuables and the game's supplies). The top list does not have the gray title, so the cheat does not work there, but it does work on the other 3 screens. When the cheat is successfully executed, the game will display a green flash.

Unfortunately, the cheat cannot be executed in YAPE (or most other emulators). The code that checks the keypresses is at $F410. It dutifully checks each of these letters, in this order: M, U, F, B, S, T, E, R.

To "execute" the cheat, do the following:
- ALT+M to go to monitor
- Type "BF410"
- When the breakpoint occurs, type "GF470" (which is where the game would go when all the keys are pressed)
- Remove the breakpoint by typing "BF410" again.

The second is the original cheat, which was already in the original game, so this works in both versions. You have to enter double-quote, ANDY, double-quote, space, skull, space, space into the high score list, see the screenshot below (note the two different double-quotes):
Cheat
When executed correctly, the new game will start with one key already in the player's possession, and will have unlimited ammo and invulnerability applied.

Partical Color Fix
If you also dislike the pink tile color, then just simply change it to the C64 color scheme.

In fact it is not the background color, but the $FF16 value.

Simply enter Monitor (Alt+M in YAPE)
>FF16 31
and it will set a dark grey tile color as in C64 version.

You can set your characters and the enemy's color in $FF17
In C64 version is is dark green, and it is also not well set in MB version, because it is turquize
>FF17 4F
set a similar color as the C64 version as per Plus4Emu converter, but I prefer value 45

You can have Red colored ones too
>FF17 42
